Can finally see our bedroom floor!

Clint and I spent the entire day yesterday cleaning our bedroom. This might be the first time our room has been cleaned this good since we moved in over 2 years ago. I know it's sad but it's the truth. I hate cleaning and since no one sees our room but us, it was always on the bottom of my to do list. Finally we both had enough of our own filth and got the job done. Let me tell you something, there is nothing sexier then a man doing laundry and cleaning toilets (cause that means I'm not doing it!!!).

Girls night with Mariah

On Saturday Chandice and I had a girls night out. She had won some Mariah Carey tickets from playing remember the times on the radio. It was a lot of fun. We went out for some yummy pizza before and did a little dancing after. Although she is a Diva for sure, Mariah's voice was amazing. We meet some fun people and had a really good time. The Diva however banned cameras so the only pictures I got were on my phone without a flash so I was unable to get any of her.

Always stuck in traffic!

Most of my life these days is spent in my car. It takes me an hour to get to my internship every Tuesday and what could be a hour to get to school on Wednesdays and Thursdays can end up being two with traffic. Not to mention I go to groups in Tempe once a week, have a meeting in downtown Phoenix every other week, and I simple just live about 30 minutes to an hour away from all my friends. Traffic here can be horrific but since I seem to be stuck in it a lot I have seen some of the most unusual things. On Thursday driving home from school I pulled up next to a car with pictures of skulls like they were piled up in his windows. With me being married to a mortician, this really catches my eye. It makes you wonder why a person would have such pictures. Is he also a mortician, or maybe an archeologist, who knows maybe he is just a proud murder not afraid of getting caught. I guess I'll never know but it is fun thinking of all the possibilities.

"Did I wake up or am I still in a nightmare?"

POOR CLINT! Wednesday morning might have been the morning from hell!!! Clint was already stressed because his boss was in town that day. He woke up early just to make sure he wouldn't be late or anything (he tends to get stressed about things like this). He decided it was time to trim up the face a little but his razor had a different plan. One swipe and half of his goatee was gone. If you know Clint then you know how big of a deal this was for him (and me...I love his goatee). He hasn't shaved it off since our wedding day and hated when he did it then. After calming down in the shower it was time to get dresses. I had just done the laundry and had a big pile of it on the bed but for some reason his pants were no where to be found. After about 30 minutes of searching they finally turned up. He was officially running behind and had to leave right then if he was going to make it on time when out of no where blood began pouring from his nose. I am not kidding here people it was pouring. He finally left the house late and with toilet paper in each nostril. Poor thing it just wasn't his day. Sorry no pictures he wouldn't let me take any..go figure!

Cruising with the Po-Po

Every Tuesday from 8am-8pm I am at my internship for school. My internship is at the City of Maricopa Police department as a victim assistant. The city of Maricopa is fairly small and you don't see a whole lot of action. Most of my time is spent hanging out doing homework and waiting to be called out to assist a victim. Now, I tend to get bored easy so I have become friends with some of the police officers. Best part of being friends with a police officer is getting to go on ride-a-longs. It can be really exciting being in a cop car when it is speeding in and out of cars with sirens blazing. I have even gone out with the DUI task forced and assisted in and observe the whole processes from spotting a intoxicated driver, having them preform all the little test (walking in a straight line and such), haling them in, receive breath and blood test, and booking them. It is also just nice to get to see the fun side of cops as they laugh and joke around. They have such dangerous jobs and sometimes we forget all the good they do for us.

Family-time Valentine

Since Clint and I already did our Valentines thing on Saturday we decided to spend some much needed time with our dogs. They love nothing more then going for a walk to the park and getting to run free. Lilah is a champ at catching a frisbee and can do it for hours. Chi Chi just loves to go exploring aka peeing on everything she can find.

Valentines

For Valentines this year me and Clint decided to surprise each other with somethings we could find at the gem show. Since we are poor (with me being a full-time student and all) we had a $10 limit. There was some crazy fun stuff there and I had so much fun trying to find things for Clint. I am always trying to find Clint fun things to put in his office that have to do with his line of work. It is not very Valentinesy but I ended up finding Clint a wooden skull and a mirror to match. Clint was so cute when he gave me mine. He had been stressing about it all day saying "I have no idea what to get you" and "what if you don't like what I get?" I tried to convince him that it was just for fun and only $10 and whatever he picked out would be fine. After I had given Clint his gifts he stressfully handed me mine. He 1st handed me a rainstick which I loved. I love the sound of rain and it will be a great addition to my meditation room. Then Clint surprised me again and pulled out the most amazing ring (cheating on the whole $10 rule). My original wedding ring had sharp edges and would cut my finger and I had been wanting a simple ring or band to wear. He couldn't have given me a more perfect ring. I love the peachy color, antique look, but most of all the opal (Clint's birthstone) in the band. Oh and of course the great price...what I'm cheap!!! Thanks babe and happy Valentines day everyone!

This weekend we went to Tucson for the gem show. We have gone each year for the past 3 years and it is so much fun. You can find really good deals on things from all over the world. Here are some pictures of all of the fun things I found from $2 watches, tattoo earrings, glass jewelry, flower hair pieces, beads, and Clint a skull necklace to hang in his car (he's a mortician), and my brother, Cody, some bracelets to let him know I'm thinking about him during a difficult time in his life, all for supper cheap. Anyone who knows me, knows I love a deal and I get really excited looking at all the fun stuff I get for so cheap.

feb 10 & 11

It is really hard to post a pic everyday but I am going to keep taking one everyday and posting when I can. So Wednesdays and Thursdays are my school days. I love going to school every week. I know that sounds weird but a masters program is so different because it is a group of people that are going through the program with you. You have many of the same people in most of your classes so you build relationships and have support. It is also classes only about the field you have chosen. No more generals to force yourself through just classes you are passionate about. Don't get me wrong it is hard work and you feel completely overloaded all the time but this is my passion my future I want to learn and soak in as much as possible. I freaking love it if I am being honest!!!

On my way home from school on Wednesday, as I was stuck in traffic, I looked to my left and saw the camper I just had to have. I had seen one a few months before and have been going off to Clint, my parents, and friends about how much I want one of those all chrome campers you never see anymore. I am taking the fact that they just keep pooping up around me as a sign that I will someday own one.

On Thursday I wasn't home until late since I had school all day and then I attend a group session at night for 6 weeks as an assignment for one of my classes. One thing I love coming home to every night is how excited Lilah (my big dog) is to see me. She is a very independent dog who makes you earn her love and attention and so far I am the only one she feels has earned the right to get kisses every day. Both my dogs have such different personalities and is so fun to see their differences. Chi Chi loves everyone and will get up in your face for attention. I love my dogs and wish I had more time to spend with them.

So far for 2010

So the year 2010 started with a bang and many great pictures I just had to share. The in-laws took us on a Mexican cruise for our Christmas gift. It was a blast! Here are some of the highlights.

last year's high lights

Had to add a few more of my favorite of last year!
